We have just finished our first term exams and Christmas is here. In coordination with the Spanish Language and Literature teachers, we are going to read two famous short stories by Oscar Wilde, The Happy Prince and The Selfish giant.

Hi!! I think that this story (The Happy Prince), is a very good story,I think that the writer want to say that the rich people must give money to the poor people, and then, all the people be happy, and somebody haven't got much money than other persons. All the people will be similar.

I think the story of the Happy Prince is fine. Because people who have much money should help the poor. In this story the Prince isn't happy because everybody around he are sad, then, decides to give all their gold to people who are poor. And I agree with that, because all the people are equal :D

In my opinion, THE HAPPY PRINCE is a good story because, thanks to the statue and the swallow,the people of the town are less poor than before.The story tries to show us that we need to share, so all the people will have the same things or the same opportunities

ResponderEliminarI think the happy prince story is very good, because it teaches us that those who have much money they have to share with the poor, instead of spending it on unnecessary things. At first the prince was not happy, because the people around was poor and sad, but he chose to give all the gold that had the poorest presonas, and so got to be happy and make other people happy.

In my opinion this story isn very interesting.
The giant have a big garden but he is very selfish
He realised that when the childrens ome to play in his garden all the trees blossomed and when they ran out of it it alwais winter.
Finaly she allow that the childrens play in his garden.
In my opinion the minnig of the story is that he won been selfish
I think that all people who reads this tale have to learn that we shouldn't to be never selfish because we will live happier and people will be better with us

In my opinion, this story is very nice and shows us that we must not be selfish and think about yourself. I liked the end of the story because, thanks to the swallow was handing out the gold that covered the statue, poor families might be less poor. It's a very nice end to this story.

ResponderEliminarThe Selfish giant is, in my opinion, a didactic story. It teach us that to be selfish don't leaves you to be happy, like the giant: when he wasn't selfish his garden was wonderfull and it was making him happy, but if he was selfish in his garden only was winter.

The Selfish Giant is the typical didactic tale which teaches children how they should behave. This one is evidently about the selfishness: being that mean and stupid to people is bad for you and everyone, you'll be a lot happier if you are a bit nicer to others, and they'll be nicer to you as well.

The meaning of the story is: "Don't be selfish because life is better if you aren't selfish or jealous

This story seems that it’s got a sad ending because the Giant died but just at that moment his dream became real because he found the little child (who was God). The story teaches us that if we are good with the other people, our life will be better and the others will love us. I like the story, although I didn’t expect this ending.

ResponderEliminarI think that this story is really appropriate for little children because it teaches them how to be generous with a very beautiful plot. The kid in the story makes the giant more sensitive and he died being a good person, the kid (who was God) changes his temperament in a good way so the story finally has a happy ending.
