CHILDREN LEARN WHAT THEY LIVE

Can you complete the sentences with the information in the box?

Children Learn What They Live
By Dorothy Law Nolte, Ph.D.

If children live with criticism, they learn…
If children live with hostility, they learn ….
If children live with fear, they learn ….
If children live with pity, they learn …
If children live with ridicule, they learn …
If children live with jealousy, they learn …
If children live with shame, they learn …
If children live with encouragement, they learn …
If children live with tolerance, they learn …
If children live with praise, they learn …
If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.
If children live with approval, they learn …
If children live with recognition, they learn …
If children live with sharing, they learn …
If children live with honesty, they learn …
If children live with fairness, they learn …
If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn…
If children live with security, they learn to…
If children live with friendliness, they learn ….

to feel sorry for themselves
to condemn
feel shy
to fight
to feel envy
to feel guilty
to be apprehensive

to love
respect
patience
to like themselves
generosity
appreciation
truthfulness
the world is a nice place in which to live
confidence
it is good to have a goal

AN AWARD WINNING MICRO STORY BY RODRIGO TOVAR

Rodrigo Tovar, from 4th.A participated in a national award with this wonderful micro story and he got one of the awards. Congratulations, Rodrigo!!!
